“Lisey’s Story”: Stephen King Wrote Every Episode of Upcoming Apple TV+ Adaptation [Trailer]

“Was it real… or was it my imagination?”

Stephen King‘s Lisey’s Story is coming to Apple TV+ next month, a small screen adaptation of King’s 2006 novel. Of note, the series was written by… Stephen King himself!

Starring Academy Award-winner Julianne Moore and Academy Award-nominee Clive Owen, the eight-episode Apple Original series will premiere globally on Friday, June 4, 2021, with the first two episodes, followed by new episodes every Friday.

The official trailer has debuted this morning, running a whopping 3-minutes long and tracking Moore’s descent into the darkness within her husband that may be living on without him.

Check out the trailer down below…

“Lisey’s Story” is a deeply personal, pensive thriller that follows Lisey Landon (played by Moore) two years after the death of her husband, famous novelist Scott Landon (played by Owen). A series of unsettling events causes Lisey to face memories of her marriage to Scott that she has deliberately blocked out of her mind.

Joan Allen, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Dane DeHaan, Ron Cephas Jones and Sung Kang also star.

Directed by Pablo Larraín, “Lisey’s Story” hails from J. J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television. Every episode of the series was personally written by Stephen King.

King, Moore, Larraín, Abrams, Ben Stephenson and Juan de Dios Larraín executive produce.
