‘Spiral: From the Book of Saw’: Watch the Brutal 3-Minute Opening Torture Scene Right Now!

We’re now just a few days away from the theatrical release of Spiral: From the Book of Saw, which will begin a whole new game of twisted horrors on May 14, 2021.

While most of the marketing has been presenting Spiral as a much different movie than we’ve come to expect from the franchise, today’s marketing goes heavy on the torture and makes it clear that while the experience may be different, this is very much still a Saw movie.

The 3-minute opening scene from the film sees a detective captured and trapped by a mysterious Jigsaw copycat in a pig mask, forced to make the sort of tough decision that the franchise has always excelled at dreaming up. He either has to rip his tongue clean out of his mouth or he’ll be completely demolished by the train that’s fast heading towards him.

Live or die… what choice will he make? Find out below in the gruesome opening from Spiral!

Spiral, directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II-IV), stars Chris Rock & Samuel L. Jackson and follows a sadistic mastermind who unleashes a twisted form of justice…

“Working in the shadow of an esteemed police veteran (Jackson), brash Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Rock) and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game.”
