‘Alan Wake Remastered’, ‘Final Fantasy VII Remake’ Listed on The Epic Games Store Back End

So, remember that rumour about Epic Games backing Remedy Entertainment to create Alan Wake 2? While it seems that sequel part may so far not be true, it does appear that the original Alan Wake is getting a remaster.

According to industry insider Wario64 on Twitter, the Epic Games Store back end has new listings for Final Fantasy VII Remake and Alan Wake Remastered. Both are using codenames (“Pineapple QA” for Final Fantasy VII Remake, and “HeronStaging” for Alan Wake Remastered), however the “CloudSaveFolder” has both games listed under their proper names.

Neither Square Enix, Remedy or Epic Games have commented on this, but it’s definitely a cause for celebration for Alan Wake fans if it turns out to be true (even if it is just a remaster of the 2010 cult classic).

The original Alan Wake was released for the Xbox 360 and PC, and later the Xbox One.
