Madison Taylor Baez Will Play the Young Vampire in Showtime’s ‘Let the Right One In’ Pilot

John Ajvide Lindqvist’s novel became the incredible Swedish movie Let the Right One In back in 2008, which spawned the American remake Let Me In just a couple years later. The vampire tale is now headed to the small screen, as we recently learned that Showtime has ordered up a pilot episode of a potential series with Demián Bichir (The Nun) attached to star.

THR provides an update on the project today, reporting that Madison Taylor Baez (Selena: The Series) has been cast to play the young vampire character at the center of the tale.

“After she was bitten by a mysterious creature, Eleanor (Madison Taylor Baez) and her father, Mark (Demián Bichir), were forced to live in the shadows and commit shameful acts to keep her alive. When she returns to New York City, Eleanor meets a friend who reignites her desire to regain her humanity, even as her condition brings out an animalistic power.”

Anika Noni Rose (“Power,” “Them”), Grace Gummer (“Mr. Robot”), Kevin Carroll (Snowfall), Jacob Buster (Colony) and Ian Foreman (Merry Wish-Mas) will also star in the pilot.

Andrew Hinderaker (Away) is the showrunner, with Seith Mann (Homeland) directing.

The project hails from Tomorrow Studios, who have been trying to get a “Let the Right One In” series off the ground for the last several years now, previously set up at A&E and TNT.
