Mary Elizabeth Winstead is the title character in Netflix‘s upcoming action-thriller Kate, a female assassin who has just 24 hours to get vengeance on her murderer before she dies.

As we learned earlier this week during Netflix’s “Geeked Week” festivities, Kate will premiere on Netflix September 10, and today the film has officially received an “R” rating.

Kate is Rated “R” for…

“Strong bloody violence and language throughout.”

We wouldn’t have it any other way. Stay tuned for the trailer!

Kate follows a ruthless criminal operative — who has been irreversibly poisoned — that has less than 24 hours to exact revenge on her enemies and in the process forms an unexpected bond with the daughter of one of her past victims.”
