Nicolas Cage Will Do Anything to Get His Beloved Pet ‘Pig’ Back in New Movie from NEON [Trailer]

“Who has my pig?”

NEON will be releasing Michael Sarnoski‘s revenge-thriller Pig this summer, with the distributor announcing this week that the Nicolas Cage movie arrives in theaters on July 16.

Check out the official trailer below, along with the new plot synopsis. While we were expecting another wild and crazy Cage flick from this one, it actually looks to be a much more subdued and emotional character study of a man who doesn’t have much left in the world beyond his beloved pet pig. And when it’s taken from him, well, he may unleash that Cage Rage…

“A truffle hunter who lives alone in the Oregonian wilderness must return to his past in Portland in search of his beloved foraging pig after she is kidnapped.”

Alex Wolff (Hereditary) also stars.

The film, written by Vanessa Block and Sarnoski, is produced by Cage, alongside Pulse Films, BlockBox Entertainment, Valparaiso Pictures and Cage’s Saturn Pictures.

Pig is also produced by Dimitra Tsingou, Thomas Benski, Ben Giladi, David Carrico, Adam Paulsen, Dori Rath, Joseph Restaino, Steve Tisch, and writer Vanessa Block. Escape Artists and Sweet Tomato Films co-financed alongside the majority financier, Len Blavatnik’s AI Film.
