Survival Thriller ‘Street Rat Allie’ Pits Female Skateboarders Against Post-Apocalyptic Criminals

Sounding like a female take on The Warriors, Sophia Banks (Black Site) is set to direct Street Rat Allie, a female survival thriller that’s set to kick off a trilogy of films, writes Deadline.

“The film will follow Allie, who is presented with a ticket to escape her post-apocalyptic city, which is sealed off by a dome.

“She and her ‘Street Rats,’ a pack of Dickensian girls who depend on each other for survival, become the targets of every criminal — human or otherwise.

“Armed with only her wits and a skateboard, she must overcome outsiders and her own conscience in leaving her fellow Street Rats behind.”

“Human or otherwise” seems to indicate this apocalyptic world has something more in store, maybe mutants?

The project, which begins filming in Australia next year, is headed by Hacksaw Ridge producers Bill Mechanic, Paul Currie and Rick Nicita.
