This morning Netflix dropped the trailer and now we have a clip from Fear Street Part 2: 1978, the “sequel” to Fear Street Part 1: 1994, which was released globally this past holiday weekend on the streaming service.
In Fear Street Part 2: 1978, “Shadyside, 1978. School’s out for summer and the activities at Camp Nightwing are about to begin. But when another Shadysider is possessed with the urge to kill, the fun in the sun becomes a gruesome fight for survival.”
In this clip, which takes viewers back to 1978, we see Cindy (Emily Rudd) and Ziggy (“Stranger Things” breakout Sadie Sink) discussing the witch and the curse on Shadyside. “Bad things always happen to Shadysiders.”
Fear Street Part 2: 1978 premieres this Friday, July 9, while Fear Street Part 3: 1666 finishes out the trilogy on July 16. All three films are directed by Leigh Janiak (Honeymoon) and inspired by R.L. Stine‘s Fear Street books.
