Who says that Laced Records has to have all of the fun? Sega has teamed up with Cartridge Thunder to release soundtracks for The House of the Dead and The House of the Dead 2 on vinyl. The two soundtracks were available as part of a box set that was available on Cartridge Thunder’s website, but that sold out pretty quickly.
Luckily, you can still order the individual soundtracks, with the expected ship date being February 2022. Composed by Tetsuya Kawauchi, The House of the Dead is the original Sega Saturn version of the soundtrack with bonus sound effects track, comes on a single red with black marble vinyl LP, and the gatefold packaging features new artwork by Alex Pei.
Likewise, The House of the Dead 2 is composed by Tetsuya Kawauchi and
Haruyoshi Tomita, and is the original Dreamcast version of the soundtrack with bonus sound effects track. The two LP set is blue with black marble, and again features new artwork by Alex Pei.
Meanwhile, those hungry for a new House of the Dead game can look forward to remakes of the first two games from Forever Entertainment and developer Megapixel Studio, which are expected later this year for the Nintendo Switch.
