Chvrches returns tomorrow with Screen Violence, their brand new album that’s heavily inspired by the horror genre.
While the album (pre-save) itself isn’t all that menacing, there are many horror themes that run through several tracks from (the excellent) “Violent Delights” to “Final Girl”, “Nightmares”, among others.
To hype the release, they’ve released a faux movie trailer that deepfakes the band into several horror films from the 80s, including The Amityville Horror, Boogeyman, Tenebre, Blood Tide, and Driller Killer. Do you spot any more?
ICYMI, John Carpenter also gave the CHVRCHES single “Good Girls” the cinematic treatment. Listen here.
