[Trailer] Throwback Shooter ‘Postal: Brain Damaged’ Arrives May 2022

With Steam Next Fest coming to a close, Running With Scissors and developer Hyperstrange have a announced a parting treat for Postal fans in the form of the release date for the upcoming Postal: Brain Damaged. The retro-styled first-person shooter, which the press release notes was the most wishlisted game of Steam Next Fest, will arrive May 2022 on PC via Steam. Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch versions will follow

Accompanying the announcement is a brand-new animated trailer, which is appropriately ridiculous, and not unlike the game itself.

The story for Brain Damaged has The Postal Dude trying to sleep off a bad trip (while being in a drunken, drugged-up stupor). He awakens in a psychedelic, grotesque, utterly twisted dream world. What’s he to do but to shoot his way out of it all?

Featuring a distinctly 90s aesthetic, Brain Damaged leans more towards modern shooters such as the latest DOOM instead of its Postal brethren in terms of gameplay. That being said, the game is still in the Postal universe, so you can the series’ expect off-the-wall humour to be in there.

Brain Damaged currently has its demo available now until October 7, so get in on it while it’s up there.
