Madmind Announce Hellish Strategy Game ‘Agony: Lords of Hell’

If you’re wondering what happened during the time between Madmind Studios’ Agony and Succubus, you’ll have your answer with Team Alpha’s Agony: Lords of Hell. Per RelyOnHorror, the upcoming strategy game will serve as a bridge between Agony and Succubus, and draws inspiration from classic strategy game Populus.

Lords of Hell‘s story will focus on the fate of the main characters of Agony and Succubus – King Nimrod and Vydija (the succubus in Succubus). After Nimrod usurps the throne at the end of Agony, a war for the rightful owner of the throne breaks out between the lords of Hell that rule over the different lands. Players will be tasked with maintaining Nimrod and Vydija’s foothold, but also expand their empire and crush opposition.

The game will be split between Nimrod’s city-building and army management, while Vydija will serve as the main unit of Nimrod’s army. Vydija can also use her abilities to seduce and incorporate unaligned martyrs into the army.

Similar to the recently-announced HELP ME!, Madmind is turning to Kickstarter next year to help gauge the scale of the project. A demo version of the game will be available to players supporting the project to help them get accustomed to the game.
