‘Morbius’ Clip Reveals the Action-Packed Birth of the Living Vampire! [Video]

After the massive success of Venom and its sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Columbia PIctures is wasting little time hyping their next dark Spider-Man spinoff, Morbius, in which Jared Leto is transformed into a vicious, blood-sucking vampire. A “living vampire”, so to speak.

Straight out of the CCXP in Brazil, the studio has revealed a lengthy action-packed and extremely violent first clip from the comic book adaptation in which we see Leto transformed into a vampire for the very first time. While the violence doesn’t actually deliver any blood, it’s pretty damn brutal, and the visual effects are excellent. Both of the Venom films are insanely fun and this looks like no exception.

Daniel Espinosa directed the film, which is kinda funny considering his Life felt like a Venom prequel.

Sony’s latest Spider-Man spinoff centers on Michael Morbius, a scientist who, in trying to find a cure for a rare blood disease, accidentally transforms himself into a living vampire. Though disgusted by his own bloodlust, he chooses to prey upon criminals he deems unworthy of life.

After being pushed all over the release calendar due to the pandemic, Morbius is finally sinking its fangs into the big screen on January 28, 2022.
