From director Matt Reeves, The Batman is currently set to release in theaters on March 4, 2022, and various spinoff projects are already in the works. In addition to the previously announced spinoff series set in Gotham City, HBO Max is also developing a planned spinoff series centered on Penguin, being played by Colin Farrell in The Batman.
Variety confirms tonight that Farrell will reprise the role for the upcoming series!

Lauren LeFranc is on board the writing team.
