[Trailer] Survival Horror Slasher ‘Skautfold: Shrouded in Sanity’ Coming to Consoles This Week

Released on Steam way back in 2016, publisher Red Art Games and developer Pugware have announced that they’ll be releasing Skautfold: Shrouded in Sanity on consoles later this week. The Survival Horror title will arrive for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch on February 11.

Per Gematsu, pre-orders for a PlayStation 4 physical edition of the game will open up on February 10 at 8:00am PT / 11:00am ET on the Red Art Games online store. You’ll have to be quick, however, as the store will only have 999 copies of the physical edition available.

Taking inspiration from other Survival Horror games such as Resident Evil, Dark Souls, and Eternal Darkness, the story for Skautfold takes place in an alternative historical setting of 1897 in the Angelic Empire of Britannia. You have been ordered to eliminate the source of the unnatural fog enveloping the Berelai Manor.

The fog it turns out has caused the inhabitant of the Manor to go insane, resulting in them attacking on sight. Armed with your Iaito cane and Waltham A9 hand cannon, you’ll have to endure the the horrors within to prevent your sanity from being lost in the fog, as well.
