Brutal Action-Adventure Game ‘HELL is US’ Announced for PC, Consoles in 2023 [Trailer]

You know a game’s got to be good when the teaser trailer gets slapped with a restriction, right? Joking aside, Nacon and developer Rogue Factor have announced HELL is US, an action adventure game that’s currently in development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. HELL is US is expected to arrive in 2023.

According to HELL is US Creative Director Jonathan Jacques-Belletete, the game’s central theme is that “human violence is a perpetual cycle fuelled by human emotions and passions”. The story centres on a country being torn apart by civil war. If that’s not enough, a mysterious event has taken place that sees the arrival of supernatural creatures that are unaffected by modern weaponry. Armed with a drone and sword from anachronistic times, it’s up to you to battle these mysterious creatures and discover how they arrived in your time.

Rather than a straight-up actionfest, HELL is US will has an exploration aspect. Only you have no map, compass, or quest markers to act as your guide. Players will have to follow their instincts , along with the “innovative writing and level design” to make their decisions on their journey. As for combat, players will have access to “a wide range of weapons” for fighting the supernatural creatures that infest the land.
