Dying Light 2 fans won’t have to rely on mods to get their New Game+ fix any more. Developer Techland has announced that they’re currently at work on a new patch for Dying Light 2 that will add the requested mode to the game, along with a bunch of other fixes for the game. Best of all, it’ll be coming later this month.
The timing of the New Game+ coincides with their planned addition of more content later this month for the game, which according to the postlaunch roadmap, will see a new “Series of Events” event involving mutated Infected. This is also on top of Techland’s five-year-plan of support for Dying Light 2.
As for what other goodies fans can look forward to with Dying Light 2, Techland has said that it plans on new difficulty modes (again, sorry modders) and a Photo Mode.
Currently, Dying Light 2 is out on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series. The Nintendo Switch version is expected later this year.
Survivors,
Our team is working hard on patch 3 for DL2 Stay Human.
It will be one of the biggest patches we've released so far. Apart from many fixes for both multi and single-player mode, it will also introduce a New Game+ mode, giving you more reasons to re-visit The City.(1/2)— Dying Light (@DyingLightGame) April 5, 2022
