Gameplay for ‘The Quarry’ Gets a New Trailer Demonstrating the Power of Choice [Video]

While it’s a bummer that you and your friends will have to wait to play Supermassive’s The Quarry together, Supermassive has made up for the delay by releasing a brand-new trailer showcasing The Quarry‘s gameplay.

Director Will Byles starts the gameplay trailer for The Quarry off by setting up the game’s premise, which is inspired by 80s horror films. You’ll play as each of the nine camp counsellors, whose idea of having a party at the end of summer camp turns dark pretty quickly. You’ll be making their decisions on what to do and how to react to situations, which ultimately will decide their fate.

“Choice is at the heart of The Quarry, and comes in many forms, ranging from simple interactions that alter character relationships, to life or death decisions that permanently affect the outcome of your story and the fate of the nine counsellors,” explains Byles. “Some of these choices have immediate repercussions. Others have consequences that you won’t see play out until further along in the story.”

The Quarry will release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steamon June 10th, while the multiplayer component will arrive on July 8.
