‘Black Adam’ Trailer – Heroes Don’t Kill People, But Dwayne Johnson Does

Box office juggernaut Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is DC’s Black Adam in the upcoming feature film directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Orphan, The Shallows), and the official trailer has arrived this morning. Black Adam will release in theaters on October 21, 2022.

The hierarchy of power is set to change with Black Adam, and the official trailer makes it clear that this version of the character is only concerned with two things: death and destruction.

“I was a slave until I died. Then I was reborn a god,” Black Adam says in the new trailer, found below. “Now, I kneel before no one.” Heroes don’t kill people. But Black Adam does…

“Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods-and imprisoned just as quickly-Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.”

The Invisible Man‘s Aldis Hodge costars as Hawkman, while Noah Centineo is playing Atom Smasher, Pierce Brosnan is playing Dr. Fate, and Quintessa Swindell is Cyclone.

Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani wrote the script’s most recent draft.

Following Black Adam, DC’s The Flash will release in theaters on June 23, 2023, while Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will now be released in theaters on March 17, 2023.
