Dutch Model Ella Freya Reveals She’s Ashley in the ‘Resident Evil 4’ Remake

Obviously, the big news this past week was the announcement of the Resident Evil 4 remake. And we didn’t have to wait very long for news regarding who the actors will be for the game, as Dutch Instagram model Ella Freya has revealed that she’s the face (literally) of Resident Evil 4’s Ashley Graham.

Per Video Games Chronicle, Ella took to Twitter to make the announcement shortly after the trailer premiered during Sony’s State of Play event. “When I saw the trailer, I almost cried. I’m so happy right now. Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart”. She later added that she was “glad to join the RE family”.

It’s likely that Ella only lent her likeness to Capcom for Resident Evil 4, and won’t actually be voicing Ashley (much like how Nicole Tomkins voiced Jill Valentine in the Resident Evil 3 remake, but Jill’s likeness was based on Russian model Sasha Zotova). For those curious, in the original Resident Evil 4, Ashley was based on model Brooke Elizabeth Mathieson‘s likeness, but was voiced by actress Carolyn Lawrence.

Resident Evil 4 will release on March 24, 2023 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC via Steam.
