Even with Disney’s Toy Story spinoff Lightyear debuting in theaters over the weekend, Jurassic World Dominion still managed to top the box office charts for the second week in a row.
Jurassic World Dominion scared up another $58.7 million domestically over the weekend, the domestic total for this particular trilogy’s final film now sitting at $249,796,690.
Worldwide, Jurassic World Dominion has thus far gobbled up $622,186,690, the film inching its way to the billion dollar mark that both previous movies ultimately ended up surpassing.
Will Dominion similarly hit that billion dollar mark when all is said and done? We’ll be keeping a close eye on the charts in the coming weeks, and we’ll of course keep you posted.

From director Colin Trevorrow, Dominion takes place four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed. Dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures.
Meagan wrote in her Dominion review for BD, “Dominion may give most of its characters a strong send-off, but it ends the Jurassic World trilogy with a tired whimper.”
