Netflix’s “Resident Evil” television series will debut globally on Netflix on July 14, 2022, the very first live-action series for the popular video game franchise. The first teaser trailer was unleashed by Netflix just last month, and today Entertainment Weekly is providing us with another look at the upcoming series through a set of first-look images they just debuted.
Showrunner Andrew Dabb tells EW that the creative team took “all the games and shuffled them together” for the Netflix series, which plays with various elements fans will recognize.
Netflix’s “Resident Evil” takes place around the time of Resident Evil Village, EW also notes in their overview of the debut season. Head over to EW to learn much more about the series.
“The all-new series expansion brings the best of the Resident Evil DNA forward – bad-ass heroines, insane creatures (some new/some familiar), a battle for survival and of course, a deep mystery to unravel. The series set in: “2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie.”
