Weird West Shooter ‘Evil West’ Delayed to November Release

Those looking to battle vampires guns blazing in Evil West this September will have to wait. Originally announced for a September 20th release, developer Flying Wild Hog and publisher Focus Entertainment have announced via Twitter that Evil West is being delayed to November 22.

The need to polish the game in order to meet the demands of releasing the game on five platforms was cited as the reason for the delay. “We are working our very best to achieve our vision of Evil West, and to meet your expectations. Evil West releases on five platforms, including multiple generations of consoles. Giving our game more polish is crucial to provide our players with not only good but also lasting memories. That’s something that we’ve always pursued.”

The announcement continues, saying that Flying Wild Hog understands the frustration, but sees the delay for Evil West as “a necessary step” to deliver a game that meets expectations for fans.

Evil West sees the American frontier being consumed by darkness in the form of vampires and other hellish creatures. As one of the last agents in a top-secret vampire-hunting institute, you are the final line between humanity and a deep-rooted terror that now emerges from the shadows. The game is currently in development for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
