New ‘Scorn’ Gameplay Video Is a Giger Fan’s Delight [Video]

Those itching for more gameplay footage of Ebb Software’s upcoming Giger-esque first-person adventure game Scorn have their fix. The developer has released an eight-minute walkthrough video showing off more of the game’s bizarre biomechanical aesthetics. If you were looking for a game that replicated venturing through the alien ship from Alien, this is pretty close.

Per Ebb Software, the gameplay video for Scorn shows the player becoming acquainted with the character they’ll be guiding through the bio-labyrinth. Players must work their way into the depths of the game’s world with no guidance on what to do, acquainting themselves with strange tools and solving an equally-bizarre puzzle that only hints towards things to come…

“In Scorn‘s exploration of a surreal, nightmarish world, players will come to understand the character they’re guiding, if only slightly. Tasked with exploring Scorn‘s hellscape, players must learn its rules and master its puzzles without any guidance or support, being left to fend for themselves in a totally immersive experience. By uncovering these secrets and gathering the strange bio-mechanical tools that seem to have been used by the civilization that previously called this world home, surviving might just be possible. Finding the truth, however, is an entirely different question.”

Scorn arrives on the Xbox Series and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on October 21. It will also be available via Xbox Game Pass.
