‘Mr. Harrigan’s Phone’ Dials Back the Horror But Stays Faithful to Stephen King [The Losers’ Club Podcast]

“Stand by your man…”

Hear that? There’s a ringing from beneath the soil. Well, The Losers’ Club is answering the call. Not from the Ghostbusters, but Mr. Harrigan’s Phone. Directed by John Lee Hancock and starring both Jaeden Martell and Donald Sutherland, the new Netflix adaptation of Stephen King’s If It Bleeds novella has arrived and the gang has thoughts.

Join Losers Michael Roffman, Randall Colburn, and Jenn Adams, as they discuss John Lee Hancock’s vision, the involvement of Blumhouse in King’s Dominion, and whether this is an Old Man Yell at Clouds Movie. Stick around, though, because later on, star Jaeden Martell joins the Losers for a chat to discuss King, our reliance on phones, and his favorite tunes.

Stream the episode below and return next week when the Losers dust off an old Crate episode on Clive Barker’s Hellraiser — just in time for the 35th anniversary and David Bruckner’s new vision. For further adventures, join the Losers’ Club over long days and pleasant nights via Apple Podcasts, SpotifyRadioPublicAcastGoogle Podcasts, and RSS.
