Tony Todd Teases “Big Creative News” Today, Fuelling Venom in ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’ Speculation

Ever since Tony Todd was announced as the voice of Venom for Insomniac’s upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we’ve been waiting to get some sort of additional news on the game and/or Todd’s role. Well, we might just be getting that later today, if the actor’s cryptic Twitter tease is any indication.

Tony posted to Twitter last night, saying that there would be “big creative news” that would be landing today. A fan subsequently replied to Tony with a gif of Venom’s reveal from last year’s Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 trailer, which Tony retweeted.

Of course, fans have gone bonkers over the speculation that we could be getting an update on the game, which last we heard, was slated for a 2023 release on the PlayStation 5.

Spidey isn’t the only superhero with a game currently being worked on by Insomniac. Wolverine is also having his own game, which is his first solo game since 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Marvel’s Wolverine is also coming to the PlayStation 5, speculated to be landing in 2023.

If the wait is too much for you to get your harder-edged superhero fix, you can always give Marvel’s Midnight Suns a go when it releases on December 2nd for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
