“The Last of Us” Episode 4 Trailer – Melanie Lynskey Joins HBO’s Hit Horror Series This Week

This past Sunday night’s episode of “The Last of Us” was a truly devastating hour+ of television, and that’s probably an understatement. “Long, Long Time” built out the relationship between video game characters Bill and Frank in a beautifully tragic way, taking the game’s storytelling to the next level while also advancing the Joel and Ellie storyline quite brilliantly.

Joel has now officially taken on the task of protecting Ellie, and they’re off on a mission to find Joel’s brother – and hopefully get Ellie to the people who can use her “condition” to generate a cure. We all know how that one goes, at least as long as the series continues to stick true to the events of the game, and the journey is now well underway as we head into Episode 4.

HBO has released a preview trailer for this coming Sunday night’s fourth episode of “The Last of Us,” and it gives us our first look at Melanie Lynskey (“Yellowjackets”) in the show.

It looks like Joel and Ellie are about to run into some trouble, with Lynskey playing a character named Kathleen. She’s said to be the “ruthless leader of a revolutionary movement.”

New episodes of “The Last of Us” premiere Sundays at 9 pm ET on HBO Max.
