Director Hideaki Anno (Shin Godzilla, Shin Ultraman) is next bringing Shin Kamen Rider our way, a brand new live action reboot that’s coming to theaters in Japan next month.
Shin Kamen Rider, we’ve learned this week, will release in limited Japanese locations on March 17, with a wide release in Japan on March 18. Watch a brand new trailer below.
Written and directed by Anno, the film will be released by Toei Productions.
A release here in the United States hasn’t yet been announced. Stay tuned.
The franchise began back in 1971 with the Kamer Rider television series. Wikipedia explains for those unfamiliar, “The Kamen Rider media generally features a motorcycle-riding superhero with an insect motif who fights supervillains, often known as kaijin.”
