In the wake of the Academy Awards, the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards are set to return this coming May, and Drew Barrymore has been announced as the host of the show.
The awards ceremony will air live on Sunday, May 7 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
Barrymore spoofs M3GAN and appears alongside Ghostface in today’s official announcement video, which you can watch down below. Barrymore of course has a long history with the Scream franchise and horror at large. It was Barrymore who became the very first Ghostface victim back in 1996, appearing in the film’s iconic opening sequence as Casey Becker.
Perhaps we’ll get a full-on Scream spoof from Barrymore this May…
