5 of This Week’s Coolest Horror Collectibles Including Wes Craven’s ‘Swamp Thing’ on 4K UHD

Killer Collectibles highlights five of the most exciting new horror products announced each and every week, from toys and apparel to artwork, records, and much more.

Here are the coolest horror collectibles unveiled this week!

Swamp Thing 4K UHD from MVD

Swamp Thing will be released on 4K Ultra HD on July 25 via MVD, leading its new 4K LaserVision Collection. (A Blu-ray edition will also be available as part of the MVD Rewind Collection.) A slipcover and mini poster are included.

Both the PG-rated US version and the unrated international version of the film have been newly restored in 16-bit 4K from the original camera negative with Dolby VIsion/HDR and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono.

Based on the DC Comics character created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson, the 1982 superhero horror film is written and directed by master of horror Wes Craven. Louis Jourdan and Adrienne Barbeau star with Ray Wise, David Hess, and Dick Durock as Swamp Thing.

Special features include audio commentaries by Craven and makeup effects artist William Munn; interviews with Barbeau, Wein, actor Reggie Batts, production designer Robb Wilson King, and film historian Kim Newman; and more.

Suspiria Trinket Box from Killstar

Alternative clothing brand Killstar launched a collection of Dario Argento apparel and accessories, the highlight of which is a trinket box featuring the iconic skylight pattern from Suspiria. Priced at $43, it’s made out of metal and glass with a hinged lid and a mirrored bottom. It measures 7″ wide, 7″ long, and 2.9″ high, perfect for storing your witch paraphernalia.

Sorority House Massacre Blu-ray from Scream Factory

Sorority House Massacre is available on Blu-ray via Scream Factory exclusively in the Shout Factory webstore. Priced at $29.98, the surprise release is limited to 1,500. The 1986 slasher has been newly scanned in 2K from the original camera negative with 2.0 Mono DTS-HD Master Audio.

Executive produced by Roger Corman following the success of The Slumber Party Massacre, the film is written and directed by Carol Frank. Angela O’Neill, Wendy Martel, Pamela Ross, and Nicole Rio star.

The extended UK VHS cut with additional footage is included, along with new interviews with O’Neill and film historian Amanda Reyes and archival interviews with Corman, Rio, and actor Vinnie Bilancio.

Saw Plush Dolls from Kidrobot

With the Saw franchise poised to return for its 10th installment this Halloween, you can cuddle up with plush versions of Billy and Jigsaw from Kidrobot. Due out in October, each 13” doll costs $29.99. 8″ Phunny dolls of both characters will also be available in July for $16.99.

Patron God of ‘90s Halloween Print from Austin Pardon

Austin Pardun is known for his vintage Halloween-inspired art style, and his latest piece is guaranteed to fill any horror fan who grew up in the ‘90s with nostalgia. Aptly titled “Patron God of ‘90s Halloween,” the artwork features everything from Hocus Pocus on VHS and Goosebumps’ Slappy the Dummy to Ecto Cooler and McDonald’s Halloween pails. 8.5 x 11 matte prints are available for $20.
