‘Carrion’ Finally Available on the PlayStation 5 [Trailer]

It’s taken an awfully long time for PlayStation 5 owners to finally get their hands on Devolver Digital’s Carrion, but the day’s finally here. Developer Phobia Game Studio released the PS5 version of their hit reverse horror title yesterday, two years after Carrion first arrived on the PlayStation 4.

Unfortunately, there’s no 20% discount this time around. But $20 for a game that lets you live out your fantasy of John Carpenter’s The Thing with some gloriously gory 2D visuals, it’s definitely worth it. You know we loved it, obviously.

Just in case you need a reminder of what the game is all about (or if for whatever reason you’ve never played it), Carrion is a “reverse horror” game in which you assume the role of an amorphous creature of unknown origin. You stalk and consume those that imprisoned you to spread fear and panic throughout the facility. Grow and evolve as you tear down this prison and acquire more and more devastating abilities on the path to retribution.

And yes, for you audiophiles, the 2-LP set of the soundtrack for Carrion by Cris Velasco is still very much available over at Materia Collective.

Carrion is also available on the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and the PC via Steam.
