“Gut Feeling” DLC Adds More Gore, New Transmog Mechanic to ‘Dying Light 2’ [Trailer]

In some odd timing (given Dead Island 2‘s impending release tomorrow), Techland has released the free “Gut Feeling” update to Dying Light 2 that focuses on revamping combat and physics, as well as adding more gory goodness. The DLC also adds a a new weapon crafting system and a new transmogrification system, allowing you to customize Aiden’s look in the game liking while keeping your choice of stats.

Available today on PC and consoles, Gut Feeling “introduces bloody new ways to dismember the limbs of foes” to Dying Light 2, which as you’ll see from the trailer, results in some spectacular displays of plasma and flying bodies.  The update also includes the new Pilgrim Outpost, which allows players to track community events, activate bounties, and receive Pilgrim tokens.

The DLC also kicks off the Viral Rush event, which will run from today until May 4. The event offers players a chance to earn the items found in the Rahim Bundle, which  consists of two outfits that hearken back to the runner, the protagonist from the first game.

Dying Light 2 is currently available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
