‘Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle’ Bumped to August Release, New Demo Coming Tomorrow

It turns out that a May release for Invader Studios’ Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle wasn’t exactly in the cards. The prequel to Daymare: 1998 will be arriving on August 30, and a new demo will instead be arriving tomorrow on Steam.

Invader Studios had previously released a demo for Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle last year during Steam Next Fest. This new demo will allow players to “experience both the first steps into the game story, having a detailed look at the game’s mechanics and graphics and the combat model, with the possibility to try out most of the in-game weapons”.

The goal of the demo is to allow players to provide feedback and suggestions to the developers “which will be considered for the final version of the game together with the final fine-tuning.” This in part is the reasoning behind moving the the game’s release to August.

Developed by Italian team Invader Studios and published by Leonardo Interactive, Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle cast players as special agent Dalila Reyes, a former government spy now in the service of the H.A.D.E.S. (Hexacore Advanced Division for Extraction and Search) unit. Reyes’ mission seems simple: enter the most advanced experimental research centre in the United States of America.

Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle will launch for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series and Xbox One.
