Giancarlo Esposito Joins the Cast of Mysterious Universal Monster Movie from Radio Silence

Radio Silence (V/H/S, Southbound, Scream, Scream VI) will be directing an “Untitled Monster Thriller” for Universal, a mysterious project that doesn’t yet have an official plot synopsis of any kind, and Deadline reports that Giancarlo Esposito (“The Mandalorian”) has signed on.

Additionally, the film has been dated for April 19, 2024.

Dan Stevens (The Guest), Alisha Weir (Matilda: The Musical), Kevin Durand (“The Strain”), Kathryn Newton (Freaky), Angus Cloud and Will Catlett also star.

Melissa Barrera, who plays a pivotal role in Radio Silence’s two Scream movies, recently signed on to lead the cast of the mysterious untitled horror movie.

THR previews, “The project was at one point titled Dracula’s Daughter. That project centered on a group of kidnappers who abduct a band of young people, one of whom ends up being the titular character. Woe then betides the kidnappers. Weir is playing the kidnappee who proves to be more than she appears, with Barrera playing one of the kidnappers.”

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett will direct with Chad Villella serving as producer alongside William Sherak, Paul Neinstein and James Vanderbilt at Project X Entertainment.

The script was written by Stephen Shields, with revisions by Guy Busick.

What’s going on with Scream 7, you ask? The third installment in the new franchise hasn’t yet been announced, but we expect it won’t be long before Ghostface returns again.

Stay tuned for more on all things Radio Silence as we learn it.
