‘Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice’ Crosses 10 Million Units Sold Across PC and Consoles

With all the talk of Elden Ring, it’s easy to forget From Software’s previous Soulslike title, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Launched back in 2019, From Software has announced that the game has now crossed the 10 million units sold milestone.

From its release in March 2019 to today, we have received tremendous support from everyone, and we have now surpassed 10 million units sold worldwide,” reads the translated announcement. “We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who played this work.”

Launched for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, Sekiro has earned plenty of acclaim (including from us), culminating in the game winning Game of The Year at The Game Awards 2019.

In Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice you are the “one-armed wolf,” a disgraced and disfigured warrior rescued from the brink of death. Bound to protect Kuro, a young lord who is the descendant of an ancient bloodline, you become the target of many vicious enemies, including the dangerous Ashina clan. When Kuro is captured, nothing will stop you on a perilous quest to regain your honor, not even death itself.

Utilizing your prosthetic arm and powerful ninja abilities, you will blend stealth and vertical traversal with visceral head to head combat in your quest.
