Netherrealm Teases the Arrival of Homelander From ‘The Boys’ in ‘Mortal Kombat 1’ [Teaser]

When you’re reminded of that milk-drinking scene from The Boys, you know you’re in for something special. While it’s not the official trailer for Homelander’s arrival in Mortal Kombat 1, NetherRealm is giving us a taste (sorry) of what to expect in the very near future, including the (somewhat) official reveal that Ferra (sans Torr) will be a Kameo Fighter.

Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon had actually teased Ferra joining Mortal Kombat 1 a few days ago on X in his usual cheeky way.

As for Homelander, we’re not given any footage of him in action, although we do get what appear to be his fatalities. As you might expect (as was the case with Omni-Man), the fatalities call back to various scenes from The Boys. No official date has been announced for Homelander’s arrival in Mortal Kombat 1, but those who purchased the Kombat Pack will be granted Early Access before his wider release.

Meanwhile, Season 4 of The Boys does have a release date of June 13 on Prime Video. The superhero drama will return with three episodes on that date, followed by a new episode each week, ending with the season finale on Thursday, July 18.

Mortal Kombat 1 is out now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
