‘Texas Chain Saw Massacre’ Video Game Reveals Brand New Hitchhiker Outfit

Hitchhiker mains will be happy to hear that Gun Interactive is bringing a brand new Hitchhiker cosmetic into The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, officially announced this afternoon.

The new skin is titled “Hitchhiker Claymore Outfit,” arriving June 25.

Gun explains to Bloody Disgusting in a statement today, “We felt that inside the Hitchhiker’s known canon, a Vietnam War era patrol jacket would be a great fit for him. And being a character with such an affinity for traps, the name Claymore just made sense.”

A core member of the Leatherface family, the Hitchhiker was played by Edwin Neal in Tobe Hooper’s original horror classic. Neal returned to voice the character for the video game.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is available on Playstation®4, Playstation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, as well as Game Pass on Xbox and PC.

The game features classic villains from the movies as well as new family members, and the events of the Chain Saw game take place *before* Tobe Hooper’s original classic.

Brandon Trush writes in his review for BD, “asymmetrical horror evolves to fit a terror classic.”
