Cinemark’s ‘Alien: Romulus’ Popcorn Bucket Is Out of This World [Video]

The less practical they are as actual popcorn buckets, the cooler movie-themed popcorn buckets tend to be. They’re all the rage at the moment, with theater chains including AMC, Regal and Cinemark supplementing their income by selling creative popcorn buckets for big time movies like Barbie and (most famously) Dune. Up next? Alien: Romulus!

Cinemark Theatres has taken to social media to preview their own Alien: Romulus popcorn bucket, which is shaped like a massive Xenomorph head. A flap on top of the elongated Xeno dome opens up to allow you to fill it with fresh popcorn, and it looks like there’s a handle on the underside of the head that allows you to hold the unique vessel as you feast from it.

And this isn’t even the only Alien: Romulus popcorn bucket that’s headed to theaters. Regal recently teased a similar bucket of their own, while a Face Hugger bucket is also coming soon.

Stay tuned for more info on all three Alien: Romulus popcorn buckets…

Alien: Romulus will be unleashed in theaters on August 16.

In Romulus, “While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.”

Cailee Spaeny (The Craft: LegacyPacific Rim Uprisingleads the cast alongside Isabela Merced, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Spike Fearn and Aileen Wu.

Fede Alvarez co-wrote the script with Rodo Sayagues (Evil Dead). Ridley Scott is on board as producer for the film, the first movie in the franchise to be released by Disney.
