‘Paramount Scares: Volume 2’ Collection Will Include ‘Friday the 13th Part 2’ on 4K Ultra HD

Last Halloween season saw the release of Paramount Scares: Volume 1, a limited edition 4K box set featuring Rosemary’s Baby, Pet Sematary (1989), Smile, Crawl and Sweeney Todd all packaged alongside special collectible items. The good news? Paramount Scares: Volume 2 is on the way, and the brand new 4K collection has been fully detailed this week.

Paramount Scares: Volume 2 will be released on October 1, 2024!

The Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD collection includes…

  • Breakdown (1997)
  • Friday the 13th: Part 2 (1981)
  • Orphan: First Kill (2022)
  • World War Z (2013)

Each of the movies will come complete with slipcovers that are exclusive to this box set release, with the set also featuring a poster, iron-on-patches, a logo pin, and a domed sticker.

Like the first volume, a Collector’s Edition Fangoria Magazine will complete the set.

Of particular note, this will mark the first time Friday the 13th: Part 2 has been released on 4K Ultra HD, the 1981 sequel finally joining the original horror classic on the 4K format.

Here’s hoping Friday Part 2 also gets a solo 4K release down the road.
