Planet 47 Games has answered the question for many video gamers: why isn’t there a game that allows me to play as Bigfoot? That answer is coming in 2025 with Bigfoot Life, an open world survival sim on Steam that has you stepping into the feet of the elusive cryptid as you live your life in the forest.
The story is, well, pretty obvious: you are Bigfoot, and you live in the forest. Seeing as this is a survival sim, besides exploring, you catch and eat fish, insects, and other animals, as well as forage for mushrooms, berries, and more. You’ll also be building shelters to store your items in to get through the game’s dynamic weather system.
From the sounds of the Steam description, there will be a point system in Bigfoot Life. You’ll earn extra points by breaking branches and scaring the wildlife. Of course, seeing as you’re Bigfoot, you’ll have to deal with humans who are keen on exposing you. Bigfoot hunters will be trying to find you and photograph you throughout the game. Luckily, you can steal their items to earn points and prevent them from revealing your secret.
The ultimate goal (besides survival) is to level up and eventually find and attract a mate for Bigfoot. No word on if there will be a demo available.
