‘Apartment 7A’ Poster Pays Tribute to Iconic ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ Art [Exclusive]

Coming this Halloween from the Paramount+ streaming service, Apartment 7A is a brand new prequel to the Roman Polanski horror classic Rosemary’s Baby (1968).

Julia Garner stars in the upcoming horror prequel, which debuts exclusively on Paramount+ on September 27, 2024. While you wait, Bloody Disgusting is exclusively debuting the official poster for Apartment 7A, which pays tribute to Rosemary’s Baby’s iconic original art.

Check it out below and read on for everything you need to know.

From director Natalie Erika James (Relic), Apartment 7A will be taking us back to the iconic Bramford building for a new story that takes place before Rosemary’s Baby in NYC 1965.

In Apartment 7A, “When a struggling, young dancer (Julia Garner) suffers a devastating injury, she finds herself drawn in by dark forces when a peculiar, well-connected, older couple promises her a shot at fame.”

Here’s the full plot synopsis: “Dancer Terry Gionoffrio dreams of fame and fortune in New York City, but after suffering a devastating injury, an older, wealthy couple welcomes her into their home in the luxury apartment building the Bramford. When fellow resident and influential Broadway producer offers her another chance at fame, it seems that all her dreams are finally coming true. However, after an evening she can’t fully remember, disturbing circumstances soon have her second-guessing the sacrifices she’s willing to make for her career as she realizes that something evil is living not only in Apartment 7A, but in the Bramford itself.”

Additional supporting cast includes Dianne Wiest (I Care a Lot), Kevin McNally (Pirates of the Caribbean), Jim Sturgess (Across the Universe), Marli Siu (Everything I Know About Love), Andrew Buchan (All the Money in the World), Rosy McEwen (Blue Jean) and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith (Wonka).

Apartment 7A is the perfect way to kick off the Halloween season,” said Jeff Grossman, Executive Vice President, Programming, Paramount+. “Director Natalie Erika James and the prodigious creative team have crafted a chilling and clever new entry into the genre.”

The psychological thriller is a Paramount+ original movie in association with Paramount Pictures and is based on the novel Rosemary’s Baby by Ira Levin. Directed by James, with a screen story by Skylar James and a script by Natalie Erika James & Christian White and Skylar James, the film is executive produced by Vicki Dee Rock and Alexa Ginsburg, and is produced by John Krasinski, Allyson Seeger, p.g.a, Michael Bay, Andrew Form, p.g.a, and Brad Fuller.

The film from Paramount has been rated “R” for “Some violent content and drug use.”
