‘Little Nightmares’ Dev Tarsier Studios Teases New Horror Game for Gamescom With THQ Nordic [Teaser]

Ever since developer Tarsier Studios departed the Little Nightmares series, fans have been wondering just what they’ve been up to, especially now with Little Nightmares III being helmed by Supermassive Games. It seems we’ll find out later this month at Gamescom, as Tarsier Studios has teamed up with THQ Nordic for a new horror game, which has been touted with a new teaser trailer as being unlike anything we’ve seen before.

The teaser was part of THQ Nordic’s Digital Showcase, which Tarsier Studios had teased with a dark yet idyllic-looking picture of a tent and campfire. That idyllic notion went out the window with the actual teaser, which took a sinister turn with the camera crawling through a dishevelled barn (?!) ending on a large pig lurching into frame, where it literally spills its guts. The pig then utters “they’re coming” before lurching out of frame, dragging its entrails along with it.

Neither Tarsier nor THQ Nordic offered anything more with the teaser, so it looks like we’ll be waiting for Gamescom, which starts on August 21.
