Metroidvania Action-Adventure Title ‘Kong: Survivor Instinct’ Coming This Fall [Trailer]

Last week, Legendary announced three video games inspired by their Monsterverse, with Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers getting a trailer. Now, it’s Kong: Survivor Instinct to get one, courtesy of developer Polish developer 7LEVELS.

Set to launch this fall for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, Survivor Instinct is a 2.5D action-adventure game that combines “realistic platforming, challenging combat, and metroidvania-style exploration.” Taking place after the events of Godzilla vs. Kong, Survivor Instinct centers around David, an oil rig worker. A sudden Titan attack sees residents of the city caught in the crossfire between battling monsters, including David’s only daughter, Stacy.

Luckily for David (and you), he’s able to influence the Titans’ behaviour with ORCA Σ, a new prototype inspired by Monarch’s technology, using their enormous strength to his advantage as navigate a treacherous maze of a ruined city. As David, you’ll also need to scavenge for resources, weapons, and tools to solve environmental puzzles and defend yourself against both human and monster alike.

That includes the Hyenas, a mercenary group led by Alan Jonah. Re-emerging after the events of Godzilla: King of the Monsters, the former eco-terrorist leader returns in Kong: Survivor Instinct with new plans.
