Wired Productions and developer Pollard Studio have dropped a new story trailer for their upcoming first-person psychological thriller KARMA: The Dark World, courtesy of IGN. Not only that, but for those attending this year’s Gamescom, you can get a chance to check out a hands-on preview of KARMA. Not able to attend? Don’t worry as a 30 minute demo will be available during October’s Steam Next Fest!
Pollard Studio’s latest story trailer for KARMA: The Dark World “peels back the layers of what’s to come,” with ever-shifting realities, half-truths and fragmented memories merging to create a dystopian world ruled by the Leviathan Corporation.
For those who missed the announcement earlier this year, KARMA: The Dark World is a first-person cinematic psychological horror title that takes place in East Germany in 1984. Players take on the role of Daniel McGovern, a Roam Agent for the omnipresent Leviathan Corporation’s Thought Bureau. You have been brought in to investigate actions that have happened in a very specific moment in time.
To do so, Daniel infiltrates the memories of suspects to retrace their steps and piece together his investigations. However, as a result, Daniel uncovers fragmented memories of his own. In doing so, he begins to doubt everything he knows, including his own identity.
KARMA: The Dark World is currently slated for a release on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
