If you were alive in the 1980s then you’re aware of the true magic that the local video rental store had.
Rewind or Die, a game from Comp-3 Interactive and Torture Star Video, is headed to consoles in less than a week. The game mixes the nostalgia of the video stores with a slasher movie and you’re right in the middle of all the action. A trailer, which can be seen below, puts you in a bad situation when your co-worker flaked out on their shift yet again and it’s up to you to cover them. And of course, there’s a serial killer who’s been staking their claim in that area. Just another day at a video rental store… right?
The official synopsis of the game reads “There’s a serial killer stalking your video store, and you just got called into work on your day off! Stock shelves, deal with customers and RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!”
The game is scheduled to be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and the Nintendo Switch on August 16th. Stay tuned to Horror News Network for more on Rewind or Die.
