James Gunn’s ‘Creature Commandos’ Gets a December Premiere Date

From DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation, James Gunn‘s animated series “Creature Commandos” officially kicks off the new DC Universe, and we’ve got a premiere date today.

“Creature Commandos” premieres December 5 on Max. 

The seven-episode Max Original adult animated series, written and executive produced by James Gunn, will release one new episode on a weekly basis until January 16, 2025.

“Creature Commandos” tracks a secret team of incarcerated monsters recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans. When all else fails… they’re your last, worst option.

The cast includes Sean Gunn as Weasel and GI Robot, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana Rostovic, Indira Varma as The Bride, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus, David Harbour as Eric Frankenstein, with Steve Agee reprising his role as John Economos from “The Peacemaker.” In the series, the Creature Commandos work under the supervision of Amanda Waller (Viola Davis).

The series is written and executive produced by James Gunn. Based on DC characters and produced by DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation; additional executive producers include Peter Safran, Dean Lorey, and Sam Register; Rick Morales serves as a supervising producer.
