3. THE SACRIFICE – A middle-aged alcoholic steps away from the bar for the latter part of an evening to follow a townie that is unanimously disliked by the community, leading himself head-first into an unexpected mission.
4. BEHIND SCOTT’S HOUSE – A 3rd grader moves to a new town and makes a new friend, only to discover his horrific environment controlled by two unsettling guardians.
5. FOUR SESSIONS IN – A woman in her late 30’s consults with a therapist about problems in her marriage as a shocking scenario is later revealed.
6. ANITA – A slew of unexpected murder-suicides occur within a small area of Los Angeles, all linked to one mysterious and seemingly untraceable suspect.

John Hoffman has previously written for Maximum Rocknroll, Revolver and Cvlt Nation, and has been involved in the punk/hardcore/metal scene since 1998. John has toured around the world as a vocalist for the hardcore band Weekend Nachos, and currently self-produces the doom metal band Stomach. He lives in Geneva, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, with his wife Destynne and his daughter Grace. Besides writing and playing music, John enjoys all types of food and video games from the 80’s and 90’s. OIL SPILL is his first book.
