‘Dino Crisis’, ‘Resident Evil: Director’s Cut’ Now Available on PlayStation Store

Back in October, Dino Crisis fans had received a bit of a raw deal when it came to playing the game, as the Panic Horror classic was only available to play via subscription to PlayStation Plus Premium. That has now been rectified by Capcom, which has now made it so that you can purchase the game digitally via the PlayStation Store, alongside another classic that was previously only available via the PS Plus Premium service, Resident Evil: Director’s Cut.

Dino Crisis and Resident Evil: Director’s Cut are still available via PlayStation Plus Premium, but can now be purchased individually for $9.99 USD.

It’s a small victory for Dino Crisis fans, who are probably one of the more neglected groups when it comes to new entries. Creator Shinji Mikami thinks that Capcom will eventually revisit the series, but no one knows just when that might happen. In case you’re wondering, it’s now been over 20 years since Capcom released a game in the series, with the last being Dino Stalker 3 for the original Xbox back in 2003.

Meanwhile, Resident Evil: Director’s Cut is once again widely available to all PlayStation users. But even if you don’t have a PlayStation console, you can always head on over to GOG.com for the PC port, which happens to include the uncut version of the opening cinematic (which Capcom has never seen to correct for the Director’s Cut for the PlayStation).
