‘Hellboy: The Crooked Man’ Comes to Blu-ray in December

Following its straight-to-digital release last month, Hellboy: The Crooked Man will hit Blu-ray and DVD on December 17 via Ketchup Entertainment.

No special features are included with the reboot.

Based on the 2008 comic mini-series, Brian Taylor (Crank, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance) directs from a script he co-wrote with Hellboy creator Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden.

Jack Kesy (Deadpool 2) stars as Hellboy alongside Jefferson White, Adeline Rudolph, Leah McNamara, Joseph Marcell, Hannah Margetson, and Martin Bassindale.

Daniel Kurland wrote in his review of Hellboy: The Crooked Man, “Despite an evocative atmosphere and a rewarding embrace of folk horror, Brian Taylor’s take on the big, red paranormal detective feels creatively lost in limbo.”

In the brand new Hellboy movie, “Hellboy and rookie BPRD agent Song find themselves stranded in 1950s Appalachia, where they discover a community of witches led by a sinister evil called The Crooked Man, with mysterious ties to Hellboy’s past.”
