‘Constantine’ to Celebrate 20th Anniversary on 4K UHD

Constantine will celebrate its 20th anniversary with its 4K debut on SteelBook 4K UHD, 4K UHD, and Digital releasing on February 18 via Warner Bros.

The 2005 superhero action-horror movie has been newly restored in 4K from the original camera negative, overseen by director Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend), with HDR.

Keanu Reeves stars as John Constantine from DC Comics’ Hellblazer series. Kevin Brodbin and Frank A. Cappello wrote the script.

Rachel Weisz, Shia LaBeouf, Tilda Swinton, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Djimon Hounsou, Gavin Rossdale, and Peter Stormare round out the cast.

In the film, “John Constantine has literally been to hell and back. When he teams up with skeptical policewoman Angela Dodson to solve the mysterious suicide of her twin sister, their investigation takes them through the world of demons and angels that exists just beneath the landscape of contemporary Los Angeles. Caught in a catastrophic series of otherworldly events, the two become inextricably involved and seek to find their own peace at whatever cost.”

Constantine 2 was announced with Reeves and Lawrence returning in 2022 and remains in development. Stay tuned for more on the long-awaited sequel as we learn it.
